Will we EVER get off I-10????  Made it to Deming, NM around 5PM Mtn time, Deming is just west of Las Cruces, NM.  Found a RV park called "The Little Vineyard RV Park.  There's a winery right down the street that we might have to check out.  Plans are for us to leave in the morning and take SH 180 northwest through the mountains (so long I-10) to Flagstaff, AZ.  Can't make the Grand Canyon tomorrow, it's still 616 miles away.  I think I gravely under estimated the distance and time it takes to get to the big hole in the ground.  We only drive 55 to 60 MPH so our driving times lag somewhat from website travel/time directions.  We're not in any hurry (have to love being retired) but it's taking us so long to get to the Grand Canyon I'm thinking I will have to do the Chevy Chase head-bob from the movie "Vacation" and leave.  More to come.  "click on photos for larger image"
